The third and final SNP Leadership candidate Ash Regan announced her plan for independence without the need for a referendum at her campaign launch.

Nominations for the leadership contest closed at midday leaving three contenders for the top job – Humza Yousaf, Kate Forbes and Ash Regan – when the ballot opens on the thirteenth of March.
