Several Mario games are currently discounted at retailers for MAR10 Day, with Nintendo pushing a Switch bundle that comes with a free game.
The Super Mario celebrations technically kicked off yesterday with the final trailer for the Super Mario Bros. Movie, but MAR10 Day itself is finally here.
There’ll be a Lego related announcement later today but, in the meantime, fans can take advantage of deals and discounts on a range of Mario games.
For whatever reason, though, Nintendo itself isn’t offering any sort of discounts, with its MAR10 sale consisting of just the new Nintendo Switch bundle.
Announced a week ago, this special Switch launches today and comes with two red Joy-Cons (as opposed to one being blue) and a digital download of either Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, or New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.
The bundle costs £259.99 on Nintendo’s website, which isn’t a bad deal considering you’re essentially getting the game of your choice for free (the Switch on its own normally costs £259.99).
Other retailers such as Amazon, GAME, and Currys have the bundle too but they all cost the same, so where you buy it from doesn’t matter. Although ShopTo is selling it for £259.85 if you fancy saving literal pennies.
Nintendo’s website is offering Super Mario themed bundles for the Nintendo Switch OLED as well, but not at any sort of discount
There’s also an option to build your own Switch bundle, including a console, a select game, a Switch Online subscription, and an accessory. Again, though, there’re no additional discounts aside from the accessory being free.
While it’s disappointing that Nintendo isn’t offering a sale on any Mario games, other retailers have picked up the slack. From our searching, Amazon appears to have the best discounts which you can find listed below.
That way, if you can’t decide which game to get for free with your bundle, you can always get one of the others at a reduced price.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe also recently received its fourth wave of DLC, adding another eight racetracks – including a brand new Yoshi’s Island themed one – and Birdo as a playable character.
The DLC’s not discounted but it’s very reasonably priced for what it offers: 48 racetracks and six characters for £22.49.
You can get it via Nintendo’s website or the Switch’s eShop or as a free add-on if you’re subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service.
We have spotted it going for slightly cheaper at other retailers, though. Amazon is selling a digital DLC code for £21.49 whereas ShopTo has it for £16.85 – almost £6 less than what it normally costs.
