The first incident occurred in
Salgi-Masiatu
village on Sunday. “A woman was standing near a school building when the elephant hit her. She died during treatment,” said a forest officer. The same elephant is said to have been on a killing spree as it attacked four others in Kashpur-Ladai
Tangra
village on Monday. “Three of the deceased were out to attend the nature’s call when the incident occurred. At about 2pm on Monday, one more person was killed. We suspect the same elephant killed all of them,” said Lohardaga divisional officer
