The tenth season of Love Island is underway, with the drama already ramping up just a fortnight in.
We’ve already had a host of new bombshells to stir things up – with Zachariah sending shockwaves through the villa after kissing Molly in front of Catherine – not to mention one of the oldest islanders ever, several dumpings and the potential return of Love Island legend Kady McDermott.
With so much still to come – from recouplings and new arrivals through to the inevitable trip to Casa Amor – we can’t wait to see what happens next.
Since the series began on June 5 we’ve been treated to a dose of action from the villa every night – but does the show air on Saturdays?
Here’s what you need to know…

Is Love Island on tonight?
The short answer is no – unfortunately we won’t be getting a new episode of Love Island until Sunday night.
The show never airs on Saturday nights but is on all six other days of the week – with fans instead being treated to the weekly highlights show, Love Island: Unseen Bits from 9pm to 10.05pm on ITV2.
There is no new episode on Saturdays as the Islanders get a well-earned day off from filming – and are allowed to leave the villa to allow the cleaners to go in.
The show’s 2017 winner Kem Cetinay told This Morning: ‘You get one day off per week. What happens is, it gives them a day to clean the villa, and you take your mics off, and normally we go to the beach.’
‘So what happens is, when you take your mic off, you are not allowed to talk about anything to do with the show, you have to talk about home life.
‘You are being watched by the producers, because they don’t want you to talk about what is going on. They are quite careful about what you talk about, because they want to keep it so everyone at home can see it.’
However season five islander Amy Hart has given a different account of her time in the villa, telling Closer Online: ‘Saturdays isn’t a day off. We don’t have days off we have our microphones the whole time.
‘Every day I was in there I was mic’d and filmed.’
When is Love Island back on?
Fans will have to wait until Sunday night to catch more action from the Love Island villa.
That’ll be followed by the weekly spin-off show, Love Island: Aftersun, which will air on ITV2 at 10pm.
