Jamaican jockey Robert “Hard Ball” Halledeen recorded his first win of the new season on Wednesday at Thistledown Racecourse in Ohio, United States.
Halledeen guided home the 8-5 favourite Latin Spice for Jamaican trainer Jason DaCosta in the 7th and penultimate event, a claiming contest over 6 furlongs on the dirt for a purse of $16,600.
Halledeen rode 20 winners on the US circuit last year.
