Backed by more than 25 years of professional expertise, Christopher Crismon, MSP, BSM has excelled in a career promoting the improvement and development of higher education. At the start of his endeavors in education, Mr. Crismon attended the University of Phoenix, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Master of Science in Psychology in 2009 and 2010, respectively. Fond of the institution which provided him his education, he remained with the University of Phoenix at the professional level, serving in numerous roles throughout a 16-year tenure. He began as an enrollment counselor and was further promoted to senior faculty liaison of the Axia Faculty Assist Team and Faculty Training and Development Team. Devoted to continuous organizational improvement, and to creating a positive learning environment for students, Mr. Crismon finds it essential to implement a procedure or process that allows institutions to assess their own compliance with institutional and programmatic accreditors, as well as state regulators and licensing boards. Among his many accomplishments at the University of Phoenix, one of his most notable tasks was implementing a collaborative internal review process that allowed the institution to assess compliance with established standards of academic quality and sustainability by accreditors and regulators. This internal review process not only assessed compliance, but also improved the organization through corrective action when needed. In addition, reports were produced that allowed the leadership team to identify areas of concern, risk, and improvement and highlighted best practices and processes that have been instituted by different functional areas in the institution.

To attest to his knowledge of the educational sector, Mr. Crismon has contributed to numerous publications, including “Cross-Cultural Study of Students’ Response to Education Dissatisfaction: An Australian Context,” in the International Journal of Educational Studies from 2019. He had also gained lifelong expertise from his time as a product and materials manager for Sourcing Solutions LLC and as the owner of Progressive Landscaping between 2003 and 2006. Over the years, Mr. Crismon has also dedicated time as a volunteer for the Save the Family Foundation of Arizona and as a professional pathways advisor with EDUCASE. The notable recipient of an Eagle Scout Award from the Boy Scouts of America in 1992, Mr. Crismon is a former member of the Association for Talent Development. He is also Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certified by the Management & Strategy Institute.

Mr. Crismon attributes his success to his outstanding mentors and incredible networking circles in his career, who collaborated with him to help him grow professionally and personally. Such mentors include Steve Castiglioni, Ph.D. and McCeil Johnson, JD, who he believes epitomize what it means to be a leader, exhibiting honesty and straight forwarding thinking leading by example. Additionally, he credits his family as the driver and the reason he lives and breathes every single day. As a lifelong learner, Mr. Crismon has goals to pursue a Juris Doctor within the next five years. He believes in his line of work in higher education, a terminal degree is something one needs to make the greatest impact.
