Cheltenham Festival kicks off with the usual curtain raiser, the Supreme.
Last year it was just as open in the betting with Constitution Hill at 9/4 joint favouritism across the board.
But that proved to be a huge price in the end to the now odds-on favourite to the Champion Hurdle at around 1/4.
The Nicky Henderson-trained horse is an almost certainty having won numerous Grade 1s by a huge distance.
But this year’s opener has seen Facile Vega drift after disappointing in Dublin, before being hammered in the betting again to 2/1 favourite.
Marine Nationale hasn’t been seen in a few months and looks a real threat at 7/2 as the unbeaten Barry Connell-trained horse takes on the Willie Mullins flurry of opponents.
Mullins is looking to send out a few big contenders, Facile Vega, Gaelic Warrior, Il Etait Temps, Impaire Et Passe.
While Paul Nicholls could deploy Tahmuras who is 10/1 at a favourable each-way price.
